1
Draw egg(s). This is a simple design; draw something that looks like a bean or a small cylinder to serve as a butterfly's egg.
- Draw the egg situated on a leaf. Butterflies usually lay their eggs on specific plant leaves, such as the swan plant.
- Draw a text box. Inside of the text box, write egg. Then draw a line pointing to the picture of the egg. From this point, you'll shortly be able to draw a line to connect to the next picture.
-
2
Draw larva. Larva looks a bit like a worm. Thus, draw the larva in the shape of a worm. Draw it on a leaf, where it would usually be found.
- Draw a line pointing to the picture of larva(caterpillar) and label it larva. Shortly you'll be able to draw a line to connect it to the next picture.

Draw pupa. The pupa is a cocoon that the larva makes by shedding its skin. Draw the pupa (cocoon) hanging on a leaf. Draw a line pointing to the picture of the pupa and label it pupa.
- Shortly you'll be able to draw a line to connect to the last picture.

4
Draw the adult butterfly. Draw it sitting on a leaf, stem, flower or piece of fruit. Draw a line pointing to the picture and label it.

5
Color in each of the drawings as befits the type of butterfly you're using as the example.
